Also called as a DC Distribution Box which is mostly used to provide the extra flexibility for the solar power point operator. With the help of a DCDB, an operator is able to connect or disconnect the inwards solar supply as well as the battery terminal supply. In this case, an MCCB along with thecorrect fuse which depends on the power plant capacity and that of the battery bank will be used in this case. In case of a DCDB, there are two sections, they are:
An ADCB box is manufactured using a metal casing which is coated with epoxy powder. Every ADCB is provided with three feeders along with the MCB which is of the required capacity which is installed on all of the feeders on the ADCB.
The primary most function of the ADCB is to isolate the PV system from the Solar Grid assembly. Further, every ADCB will consist of an MCB whose main function is to disconnect both the outgoing as well as the incoming side AC connections, SPD (Surge Protection Device), and RCCB.
